What photography package suits you best?

The most common question I get asked is simply: “I need XXX, what package should I get?” Whilst there is no right or wrong answer, this blog intends to be a guide to help you find the right package for you to meet your goals.

Each package I offer includes a set amount of time, a preview sheet (contact sheet), and a quantity of retouched images for final delivery. Let’s take a quick look at this before going into detail with the specific packages I offer.

My general photography process can be broken down into…

The consultation phase: Where we establish your vision and objective for the photoshoot

The photoshoot: Where we capture a great variety of photographs based on your objectives

The review phase: Where I will send you all of the photographs from our session (in a preview format) for your review and selection of retouches

The retouch phase: Upon receiving your choice of favourite photos, these will be edited in a suitable manner to enhance the final aesthetic.

*Retouching is the process of enhancing or correcting an image by removing imperfections, sharpening or softening details and adjusting lighting slightly on a person’s face. It can involve tasks such as balancing complexion, whitening teeth, or fixing minor flaws to create a polished final result.

Express Package

The Express package is the smallest package I offer, though this does not mean it is lacking in value!

Some individuals simply only need a few photos, so I like to offer a streamline option that is quick and efficient to obtain and perfect those few photographs. Most clients who opt for the Express package are busy professionals seeking to update their headshot — it’s not too difficult to find a one-hour slot to accommodate this.

Most clients that op for the Express packages are, or need photos for:

• LinkedIn Headshot
• Social media profile picture
• Website cover photo / email signature
• Actor/Model portfolio update (adding to existing portfolio)

Portfolio Package

Once again, the clue is in the name! The portfolio package is a longer session that allows for more variety and experimentation during the photoshoot. This is a huge help for creatives such as actors, models, musicians who need more than a simple head & shoulders portrait. 

The extra time allows for outfit changes, lighting and set changes, the introduction and removal of props etc. In most cases, the portfolio package will look like you’ve had numerous different photoshoots on different days — this is by design. 

Individuals who opt for the portfolio package are frequently seeking:

• Actor portfolio
• Model portfolio
• Boudoir photography album (wedding gift, or confidence boost)
• Portraits to celebrate themselves (e.g: 30th Birthday)
• Families — group & individual portraits.

Branding Package

The branding package is specifically designed for individuals and commercial entities looking to develop or refresh their identity through branding photography.

This package goes beyond just portraiture. We’ll work together to outline your brand’s values and objectives, and determine the visuals that best represent them. I’ll be with you every step of the way—creating a mood board as well as a shot list, and acting as your brand consultant leading up to the photoshoot.
